Deadspace Game Trailer
This Game Trailer was prepared in this way for Midi 1, a class at Expression College. We were to reconstruct the sound effects for the game trailer using Logic Pro 7 while using an Apogee and headphones. This project was completed over a total of six days in a two week span. The Hollywood Edge and Sound Ideas 6000 sound libraries were utilized to achieve the new sound effects for the trailer. The trailer was scored using Logic Pro synthesizers.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkachi 3 Game Trailer
This Game Trailer was also prepared the same way as the Deadspace one in which the original audio was removed and replaced with original sound effects for Midi 1. In this game trailer Finale 2008 was used to score the whole thing. A fast paced tempo was achieved by using 32nd notes as well as adding certain Apple Loops.
Old Spice Commercial The Old Spice commercial was an assignment given in Audio Post Production at Expression College. We were to replace the original audio with our own. This commercial's audio was edited using Pro Tools 7.4 HD and a Yamaha DM2000 mixing console. Sound Effects were used from the Hollywood Edge and Sound Ideas 6000 libraries and were manipulated using Elastic Audio and other plugins in Pro Tools. Foley was also recorded for utilization in the audio editing of this commercial. The ADR was not re-recorded for this project.
Beltaine's Fire
This Band came to Expression in the Spring of 2007 and was recorded in the Digital Audio Workstation 2 class. This was an eight hour session. Nine of my other classmates along with me recorded and mixed this band in the Heptagons at Expression College. We were grouped in pairs and recorded in a Heptagon containing a Yamaha DM2000 and Pro Tools HD. The group was tracked in the Control 24 of the Heptagons and was recorded Online in each of the other six Heptagons. Songs were mixed on the spot utilizing templates which contained pre-selected plugins.
Mekesmo This Band was another one which was recorded in the Digital Audio Workstation 2 class and was also an eight hour session that was conducted in the same way as the Beltaine's Fire session.
Deadly Surfinatics This was one of the first bands I experienced recording at Expression College. This band was recorded in Basic Recording and Production in the SSL 6000 and the Neve VR. The Band was tracked to 2" tape and was later transferred to Pro Tools for me to mix. We tracked the band in two eight hour sessions which also contained overdubs.
